I've also been working on a project with my friend Tyra: Le Voyage. Le Voyage is a jewelry and bikini business we created. We just launched our facebook page today and I'm so happy to finally be able to tell you guys that orders are now open!

Countdown
Sorry for the huge gap in blogging! It's crunchtime for Sheena and me because scholarships are due and 3rd quarter is almost over. Thus, the title "countdown." These pictures are from last Thursday when I skipped school to do scholarships. I know, I really am such a rebel. I just wanted to be comfortable so I put on a huge sweater, tied my hair up, and got to work.

The navajo print belt is an homage to Peru, where I am going in a mere 8 days! I'll definitely have a ton of pictures to share with you guys.
The bracelets are made by my friend. She and I are about to start a company called "Le Voyage," which means "the journey." My friend is going to make jewelry and I am going to make bikinis. We haven't set a website or anything yet, but when we do, I'll definitely let you guys know!
On a side note that's totally irrelevent to fashion and this blog, there are a lot of countdowns going on in my life right now. The countdown for high school to end, the countdown for college to start, the countdown to PERU (!), the countdown to the establishment of Le Voyage, etc. It's all makes me really excited and anxious.
What countdowns do you have in your life right now? And while I'm at it, what do you think of the name Le Voyage? Do you like WanderLove better? Or something else? Our whole concept is about traveling and wanderlust.

recent acquisitions
Since I was a kid, I was always pretty lucky when it came to money. I'd find money everywhere--I even found $10 at the beach once! That sort of ended at the age of 10, but I haven't stopped finding great deals! These pictures are of my purchases from the last couple of weeks. Although (almost) everything in this post was under $10, my spending did eventually add up! I'm spending my first paycheck before I even get it...this can't be healthy. Having a job is such an enabler.
Alyn Paige dress from Ross: $5.99
Velvet dress from Ross: $1.49
Sofia by ViX swim set: Ross $19.99
Nollie open knit sweater from PacSun: $7
Pleated mini skirt from PacSun: $7
Joe's Jeans lavender jeggings from Ross: $9.99
Velvet dress from Ross: $4.49
If any of you guys have a Ross Dress for Less nearby, you should definitely check it out! And no, I don't work there. That would be very, very bad. Wish me luck as I try not to shop as much!

procrastination
P-R-O-C-R-A-S-T-I-O-N. Such an ominous, stress-inducing word...Maybe it's not the best topic to kick off the debut of my second post, but it's really actually the reason I'm on here making another post so soon. I just spent the past two hours hyperventilating in my room over the fact that I found the PERFECT senior prom dress aowiehroiwekrjf still makes me happy thinking about its lusciousness hanging in my closet...Well, needless to say, I haven't gotten any homework done at all since I came home five hours ago.
Still not in much of a school mood, I decided to post some pictures from an amateurish photoshoot I was in last weekend. My friend, who is an avid collector/wearer/hoarder of Betsey Johnson dresses and other cute "affordable" couture dresses (I mean "affordable" if you have a spare $500 lying around, but I guess that's all relative), is planning on renting out some of her dresses to girls at my school for dances etc. She happily "volunteered" some of my friends and me to be models- it turned out to be an amazingly fun day! The results are a little awkward, but I thought I'd share with you all. Enjoy!
Betsey Johnson
Marc Jacobs: Very 60s mod no? Especially with the Vogue cat-eye sunglasses
My personal favorite: Betsey Johnson dress with Venetian masquerade mask.
Cute, flowy Betsey.
Thanks for distracting me! Hope you enjoyed more of my awkwardness(:
Happy Procrastinating!

neon
These pictures were actually from about two weeks ago when some of my friends and I celebrated my friend Kim's 18th birthday with a dinner in Waikiki! For the record, I really don't like Waikiki. The prices are higher and parking is more expensive and harder to find than water in the Sahara Desert. Seriously.
However, come visit Hawaii because as much as I gripe about it, it really is wonderful! (I must be doing wonders for Hawaii tourism) Prime example: the weather has been really "cold" lately. We've been waking up to the frigid 61 degree mornings. (sarcasm intended, even though I'm also complaining about the "cold") As much as we all complain, we know we got it good.
This necklace is one of my purchases that I talked about in my last post. I bought it at the Forever 21 in Waikiki after my birthday dinner.

bohemian-goth wannabe
My first ever post all by myself! I have to admit feeling equal parts exhilaration and apprehension talking to the whole worldwideweb...but I digress.
Anyway, Noel and I recently went to a Chinese New Year party at our family friend's house (we're so asian I know!), but as usual I was in a complete tizzy trying to figure out what to wear. Before reaching this outfit, I pulled on an all black outfit and was immediately laughed at by Noel who reminded me of the infamous "goth" confrontation. A while back, our old childhood friend admitted to me that throughout our entire friendship up to that point, he had evidently thought I was goth because of my apparent penchant for black and navy blue clothing. Mer. Needless to say I changed into the more acceptable outfit below which magically turned boho with proper accessorizing.
Left: Cut out my footwear which apparently looked terrible according to my mother; thanks for letting me go out of the house like that mom...Right: Up close and personal with my boho-ish jewelry
Pretty lights, pretty night.
Outfit: Shrug: LovelyGirl from Eden in Love, Top: Brandy Melville, Shorts: Bullhead from Pacsun, Necklace: Forever 21, Ring: vintage
I'm a naturally awkward person, so please ignore me in my natural state. If homework, scholarships, and dance don't consume me this week, I promise to be a more dedicated blogger! Thanks for listening to the awkward ramblings of this boho-goth wannabe!

N: Sorry for the long overdue post! I (Noel) have been extremely busy between school, scholarship applications, and work. These pictures are from my belated 18th birthday dinner at Senor Frogs in Waikiki.
N: This guy was so good! He sang an acoustic version of "Sexy and I know it" and I even got a birthday shout out!
S: She didn't want the birthday shout*out but I happily embarrassed her by yelling for the guy from across the restaurant...she loves me(:
S: Our amazing balloon hats that I absolutely HAD to have. We had a sassy balloon maker however who gave me a 2 foot tall balloon hat. Literally. How ironic no?
Sheena: Dress: Akeiadani from LMS Boutique in Manoa (anyone else find it funny that the tag reads "keep away from fire?"), Heels: NineWest, Bag: From some cool prop shop in California
Noel: Dress: ? boutique in Boston, Bag: Jeans Warehouse, Boots: Target
Also, please ignore my awkward, slurpee-filled face.
N: After dinner we stopped for a slurpee because, well, it was my birthday and I wanted a slurpee. It was my only diva request of the night, I promise. The dress is actually a size medium tunic/shirt that I bought for $10 in October when I was in Boston! I'm in love with python print even though Sheena hates it. (S: I do!) She hates that it's "in" and that I'm a fashion psychic.
Snakes and slurpees,
Noel (& Sheena who made this post a sort of running commentary)
